Sporting Clube de Goa unveil former Pailan pair

Sporting Clube de Goa has unveiled former Pailan Arrow’s defender Deepak Devrani and custodian Ravi Kumar as their new signings, at the club’s training ground, in Panjim on Thursday.

Deepak who is only 21, started in the East Bengal youth system, before being picked up to join the Arrows where he spent three seasons.

Ravi joined the Arrows in 2010, but it was not until 2012 that he made his debut in the I-League against Salgaocar where he kept an impressive clean sheet in a goalless draw.

Now confirming some local flavour to the Bengaluru-based club who will make their I-League debut in the coming season:

JSW Sports has signed three Bangalore boys – Kutty Mani, Don Bosco Andrew and Vishal Kumar – the club announced on Saturday. Midfielder Kutty, 26, brings in a fair bit of experience having spent five seasons with Mumbai FC and one at Pune FC. The other midfielder signed is Don Bosco who started out at Bangalore SAI before spending three years at Goa’s SESA Academy.

Defender Vishal has represented India at the Under 16, 17, 19, 21 and 23 levels apart from being part of the Olympic qualifier and SAFF Cup squads. He started out with HAL before spending two seasons at Pailan Arrows.

And after Wenger's last statement that was shared a bit earlier, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has slammed a derisory bid from Arsenal for Luis Suarez and reiterated that the Uruguay international will not be leaving the club.

In other, extremely unlikely transfer news, Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has claimed that he could easily land his "dream signing" Cristiano Ronaldo on account of his "very good relationship" with Real Madrid counterpart Florentino Perez.

"I know he has two years left on his contract with Real Madrid," Al-Khelaifi is quoted as saying by AS. "But I have a very good relationship with Florentino. If I want my dream of signing Cristiano to be met, I'll call [Perez]."
