First question- The Balotelli factor!

How much will AC Milan miss Mario Balotelli in this game? The Italian has had an outstanding start to his Milan career so far and could have played a huge role against Barcelona.

23:51 IST

20/02/13

So now we move onto THE GAME of the night. AC Milan vs Barcelona

23:47 IST

20/02/13

So before we move onto the big game, final predictions??

Aman Arora: Galatasaray 1-1 Schalke

Shikharr Chandra: A 3-1 victory for the Turkish side.

23:43 IST

20/02/13

Aman Arora: Not at all. I think Huntelaar will be the danger man for the Galatasaray defense. His link up with Draxler and Farfan has proved to be dangerous and Galatasaray have to be cautious. They need to cut off the supply to Draxler and Farfan to put out Shalke and since they play at home, they need defend well to be able to take this clash back to Germany.

Shikharr Chandra: Huntelaar is one of the finest forwards in European football today. He has already scored 11 goals this season and surely is the man to watch out for in that Schalke side. But the Turkish side cannot just focus on the forward alone as Schalke have got some quality players in Farfan, Afellay, Draxler who are just as good as the forward and can trouble the Turkish defense.

20/02/13

Next question- Is the threat of Huntelaar forgotten ahead of Drogba's reunion with the Champions League?

23:35 IST

20/02/13

Aman Arora: Yilmaz should be started ahead of Didier Drogba as he is not entirely match fit.His impact will be better if he comes on in the 2nd half, also Yilmaz' form has been good, he isn't a bad first choice striker either.

Shikharr Chandra on the other hand believes the  ex-Chelsea forward should start this game seeing his previous record- I feel Drogba should start this game. He had an excellent last season with Chelsea scoring in the finals as well as the semi finals and not only his goal scoring ability but also his experience of playing in these big games will play a huge role for the Turkish side.

With Didier Drogba coming in and seeing his vast experience in this competition, do you guys feel he should start ahead of top scorer Burak Yilmaz?

23:27 IST

20/02/13

Shikharr Chandra: Both Drogba and Sneijder are top class players who have played a key role in guiding their previous club's to European glory so obviously the experience factor will come into play and not to forget that both of them are top class players so I think Galatasaray will have an advantage over Schalke but honestly don't think that they can be considered "challengers" for this season's title.

Aman Arora: Both Drogba and Sneijder gelled well in the previous game and if they continue to do so, they could pose some serious threat together. and with the likes of Altintop, Eboue and Felipe Melo they have some experienced players who, if live up to their expectations can cause some serious problems in this season's competition.

20/02/13

So the first question for our experts- With the signing of Dider Drogba and Wesley Sneijder in the January window, do you guys feel Galatasaray are a force to be reckoned with this season in the Champions League?

20/02/13

So we end tonight's discussion with the FINAL PREDICTIONS!

Aman Arora: Milan 2-3 barcelona. A tie with a lot of goals as both sides will look to attack.

Brendon Netto: AC Milan 1-1 Barcelona - Keeps the tie alive! Hopefully the hosts can sneak a goal on the counter and restrict the Catalans to just the one goal.

Shikharr Chandra: Going for a Barcelona win. They are just too strong. A 1-2 win for the Catalan giants.

00:23 IST

20/02/13

Looks like both our experts our surprised not to see Nocerino in the playing XI for Milan.

Brendon Netto: Ambrosini coming back into the side is interesting. Vastly experienced player but I'm not sure he has the mobility to deal with Barcelona's midfield. The absence of Nocerino from the starting line-up is surprising. Barcelona's side is pretty much straight forward and virtually picks itself.

Aman Arora: As expected, Fabregas and Iniesta both start the game. Iniesta's current form is just excellent and he was surely a no-brainer. Milan, on the other hand have gone for Muntari in place of Nocerino which is a surprise of some sort. Muntari has had just 6 appearances in all competetions this season and it's a real gamble to go for him.

00:17 IST

20/02/13

And here are the lineups for tonight's big game at San Siro-

AC Milan team to play Barcelona: Abbiati; Abate, Mexes, Zapata, Constant; Montolivo, Ambrosini, Muntari; Boateng; Pazzini, El Shaarawy.

Barcelona team to play AC Milan: Valdes; Alves, Pique, Puyol, Alba; Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta; Fabregas, Messi, Pedro.

Let's see what our experts have to say on the lineups!

00:15 IST

20/02/13

Shikharr Chandra: There are so many players in that Barcelona side who are capable of putting in match winning performances. Apart from Messi, I'll have to go with Iniesta. The Spaniard had an outstanding last year and ahs been equally good this year as well. One of the consistent performers in that Barcelona side.

Brendon Netto: Iniesta and Pedro are always likely to make a vital assist or get on the scoresheet but I think the return of Xavi to Barcelona's line-up will be a big boost for them. I expect Milan to sit very deep and try to contain the Catalans so the way Xavi dictates play will be important. He has the ability to pull defenses from one side to the other with his long-diagonal balls and that's where the cracks will begin to show. The gaps created when he stretches the defense with his passing should give the visitors chances to get through to goal.

00:11 IST

20/02/13

So apart from Messi, who do you think is the man to watch out for in that Barcelona side?

00:09 IST

20/02/13

Aman Arora: Tha La Liga leaders will look to hold the ball for long periods and wait for their chance to come but Milan need to defend tightly, leave no spaces in the defense for the Barca players to make their runs. Not only this, but Milan need to be clinical in whataver chances they do get and try to score early if possible. Milan will defend deep, no doubt, but they have to pass well when they do get the ball and convert that odd half chance into a shot on goal.

Brendon Netto:The one thing Milan got going for them against Barcelona is their ability to counter attack with pace. I expect them to soak up the pressure even though they are at home and try to hit back on the break. Niang and El Shaarawy have great pace and will be dangerous. Pazzini could cause problems with his movement. Barcelona normally leave just their center backs in defend when they're really attacking so there's every possibilty that a counter attack could create a 3 on 2 situation in Milan's favour.

00:05 IST

20/02/13

So the next question for our experts- How do you think Milan should approach this game seeing Barcelona's attack and overall quality they possess?

00:00 IST

20/02/13

Aman Arora thinks Milan have enough firepower and will not really "miss" Super Mario tonight-

Frankly speaking, Balotelli has just started his career at AC Milan. He needs to do this over a much longer period for the team to "miss him". That said, he has been outstanding and no doubt Milan would love to have that extra bit he provided in attack. Although with Pazzini, El Shaarawy, Niang  and Boateng in attack, they do have the firepower to catch Barcelona on the counter.

Shikharr Chandra: I feel Milan would have loved to have Balotelli tonight. The Italian is in form and playing some of his best football. Although just like Aman said, Milan do have match-winners in their side with the likes of Boateng and El-Shaarawy who have been consistent performers this season.
