The Parisian first team was the victim of Frankenstein's monster, with reactions varying from Di Maria's cheerful laugh to Mbappe's absolute terror

Halloween is all about putting the frights on those around you, and Paris Saint-Germain are getting right into the holiday spirit.

A spooky power cut and a man dressed as Frankenstein's monster were utilised by the Ligue 1 club to scare the wits out of their players.

Marco Verratti, Kylian Mbappe and Thiago Silva were among those on the receiving end of the ingenious prank, but all saw the funny side once the ruse was uncovered.

A special mention should go to Angel Di Maria, who was strangely nonplussed at the notion of having a monster creeping up his leg! Apparently it takes a lot more to scare the winger than a few layers of make-up and a bolt through one's neck.
