Salah, Mane return to Liverpool training

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane returned to Liverpool training on Friday morning.

Both players were not involved in the Reds’ first set of pre-season preparations owing to their participation at the World Cup with their respective countries.

Salah’s Egypt endured a disastrous outing in Russia, losing all three games but the Kops’ 44-goal forward netted twice in two games - upon his return from his shoulder injury.

Meanwhile, Mane’s - Liverpool’s new no. 10 - adventure in the big summer event was cut short in a rather harsh manner after Senegal lost out on a Round of 16 place to Japan through accumulated cards. The winger managed a goal still.

Just as others who took part in the quadrennial event, both players were afforded extended holidays, and Salah appeared to make the most of it.

The star forwards are now back, alongside Serbia midfielder Marko Grujic at the team base in England and were all involved in physical assessments on Friday as Jurgen Klopp’s men get ready for participation at the International Champions Cup.

On Saturday, the 2017-18 Champions League finalist will fly out for their tour of the United States where they take on Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Manchester United in the high profile pre-season tournament.
