Portuguese side CD Nacional confirm Christian Madu’s signing

The 25-year-old has become the latest addition to Estadio da Madeira outfit after agreeing on a deal that will keep him at the club till 2022

Portuguese Primeira Liga side CD Nacional have confirmed the signing of Christian Madu from Enugu Rangers on a four-year deal.

The defensive midfielder was part of Rangers team that won the 2016 Nigeria Professional Football League title.

On Monday, the White and Black announced the acquisition of Madu who teams up with compatriot Abdullahi Alhassan and Mozambique forward Witi.

“CD Nacional and Enugu Rangers agreed on the transfer of Christian Madu to Madeira,” read a statement on club website.

“The Nigerian midfielder is, at 25, one of his country's references in this position, and has signed a four-year contract with Nacional.”

Madu could make his debut when CD Nacional lock horns with Vitoria Setubal in a league game on Sunday.
