Leicester City players were ‘delighted’ to welcome Riyad Mahrez back, according to Danny Simpson.
The Algeria international embarked on a self-imposed exile after failing to secure a move away from Leicester to the Etihad Stadium in January but made an impressive second-half cameo in the Foxes' 5-1 thrashing by Manchester City.
And, despite the behaviour of the winger, the defender has revealed that the players have put the issue behind them to welcome the former Le Havre man back to the team with open arms.
"He came in and spoke to the lads on our own in the dressing room and that's it, we move on," Simpson told Sky Sports News.
"[On Saturday], in flashes, he has shown why he is a good player and obviously he is back in the team and we are all delighted."
Mahrez will be hoping to add to his nine goals and seven assists in all competitions when Leicester trade tackle with Sheffield United in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Friday night.
