Crystal Palace's Cabaye reveals his toughest opponent

Crystal Palace midfielder Yohan Cabaye has named Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure as his toughest opponent.

The four-time African Footballer of the Year, until recently, has been a huge influence in City's midfield since he arrived at the Etihad Stadium from Barcelona in July 2010.

Toure has enjoyed a trophy-laden career in his eight years stay with the Citizens with two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and three English League Cup titles.

Despite Toure's limited playing time this season with just six league appearances so far, Cabaye extolled the Cote d'Ivoire international for his amazing qualities and the toughness he displayed years ago.

When asked about his toughest opponent on  BBC Match of the Day , the former Newcastle United player said: "Yaya Toure - he is a fantastic footballer and he plays less now, but I remember a couple of seasons ago he was amazing and really hard to play against."

The midfield maestro was on parade for the entire duration as Pep Guardiola's bowed to Basel in Wednesday's Uefa Champions League encounter, which meant less as the Citizens eventually progressed to the quarterfinals.
