MORRISON AN OPTION FOR ATLAS
Atlas will offer former Manchester United wonderkid Ravel Morrison a chance to revive his career in Mexico, according to The Sun.
The 24-year-old Lazio player spent last season on loan with QPR, but made only one start before returning to Italy.
Playing time in the Italian capital will likely be hard to come by for Morrison this season, and he could be tempted by a new challenge in Liga MX.
SPORTING MAKING PUSH FOR PUMAS STAR
Sporting of Lisbon have set their sights on bringing in Pumas forward Nicolas Castillo, according to TuttoMercato .
The Chilean's five goals so far this tournament tie him for the league lead, but with coach Paco Palencia being fired at Pumas and Sporting moving into the group phase of the UEFA Champions League, a move could go through before deadline day.
JIMENEZ INTEREST CONTINUES TO GROW
While West Ham United and Manchester United have sent scouts to see forward Raul Jimenez, they're hardly alone in the chase. Everton and Monaco both are interested in the striker, according to Portuguese newspaper Record . Anderlecht also is interested in signing the forward, according to ESPN Mexico.
Earlier this summer Portuguese outlets reported that Benfica boss Rui Vitoria isn't eager to sell Jimenez, but the club would let him go for a €50 million fee.
ALMEYDA LOOKING TO EUROPE
Chivas coach Matias Almeyda has asked his agent to look for a job in Europe with his eyes on a potential departure from Mexico in December, according to AS Mexico .
The report says the chatter linking Almeyda to the Alaves job this summer was accurate, but while the coach decided to stay at Chivas this summer he's become frustrated with the club's internal politics.
FORMER MEXICO CENTER BACK HEADED TO SPAIN
Former Mexico international and Toluca center back Aaron Galindo is set to sign with Toledo, according to Radio Castilla-La Mancha .
The 35-year-old will join up with former teammate Israel Castro, who is currently playing with the Segunda B team.
GUDINO SET TO LEAVE PORTO
Mexican goalkeeper Raul Gudino is set to replace the departed Curacao international Eloy Room at Vitesse, according to A Bola .
The 21-year-old signed with Porto two years ago from Chivas but is yet to debut for the first team. He went on loan to Uniao da Madeira and also has played for Porto B and in UEFA Youth League matches.
STUTTGART STEPS UP REYES PURSUIT
Stuttgart is willing to pay 10 million euros to bring Mexico international Diego Reyes to the club from Porto, according to A Bola .
While Porto is willing to sell Reyes, they first want to see if Espanyol will make a better offer after Reyes' quality campaign on loan there last season. Stuttgarter-Nachrichten previously reported that director of football Jan Schindelmeiser has Reyes on his wish list in part because of his ability to play right back or defensive midfielder in addition to his first-choice place as a center back.
QUERETARO COULD LOSE VOLPI TO EUROPE
Tiago Volpi has been in contact with Benfica and could leave Queretaro, according to UOL Esporte .
The goalkeeper confirmed he has been contacted by the European club and is intrigued by the idea of playing in the UEFA Champions League.
MLS TEAMS SHOW CORONA INTEREST
Multiple MLS teams have shown an interest in United States national team and Tijuana midfielder Joe Corona, according to The Washington Post 's Steven Goff .
The 27-year-old Corona is entering the last year of his contract with Xolos and is not on the MLS Allocation List, meaning any team can make an offer to sign him.
LIGA MX NEARING LIBERTADORES RETURN
FMF president Decio de Maria is in advanced talks with CONMEBOL officials to secure Liga MX clubs' return to the Copa Libertadores, according to Record .
After a calendar switch led Mexico to pull out of the South American club championship, the teams could return. Pachuca, Chivas and Tigres are in line to be the teams to take part in 2018, though criteria is yet to be decided.
TIGRES SHUT DOWN GIGNAC APPROACH
Tigres rejected a 4 million euro offer for Andre-Pierre Gignac from Turkish club Besiktas, according to NTVSpor .
The newly crowned Champion of Champions told Turkey's title-holder that they'd received higher offers from other clubs, putting the European side off from making another approach for the French forward.
ARGENTINE SIDE WORKING TO SIGN VARGAS
Despite arriving just seven months ago, Eduardo Vargas may be nearing a move away from Tigres, according to TyC Sports .
The Argentine outlet notes that San Lorenzo has its eyes on the Chilean international. But while Tigres brought in Enner Valencia during this window and have a number of attackers in their ranks, the team isn't ready to move Vargas on without a significant offer.
LILLE HAS AQUINO INTEREST
Marcelo Bielsa's Lille would like to bring Tigres winger Javier Aquino to France to play on the right side, according to Record .
Reports that the Ligue 1 side was scouting the 27-year-old emerged during the Confederations Cup, and the interest has advanced. Tigres would require the team to pay the same release clause, reportedly around $15 million, it requested Chivas pay for the ex-Villarreal midfielder during the Liga MX draft.
DAMM'S FUTURE MAY BE IN EUROPE
Jurgen Damm may make his long-awaited move to Europe with Lazio pondering a move for the Tigres and Mexico man, according to ESPN Mexico .
The reported deal would see the Serie A side pay $10 million for 70 percent of the 24-year-old winger's rights with the northern club retaining the rest.
PRICE TAG DETERRED GALAXY FROM GIGNAC
LA Galaxy directors flew to Marseille to meet with Andre-Pierre Gignac but were put off by the money the move would require between the transfer fee and his salary, according to a L'Equipe journalist.
That means Gignac could extend his contract with Tigres, France Football previously reported. The forward's contract with Los Felinos expires in June 2018 and, while the report says the Galaxy would've been his first choice, staying in Monterrey is preferable to a move to China.
ANDERLECHT EYEING MEXICO YOUTH INTERNATIONAL
Anderlecht is interested in bringing in Santos Laguna and former Mexico U-17 holding midfielder Ulises Rivas, according to Voetbal Nieuws .
The 21-year-old previously was linked with Serie A and MLS clubs and his agent told the Belgian outlet Rivas is set to acquire an Italian passport. Though the report indicates there is interest, it also mentions that Anderlecht won the title last year and both central midfielders Sven Kums and Pieter Gerkense are expected to stay on with the club.
