Afriyie Acquah scores brace in Torino’s 14-0 bashing of Bormiese

Afriyie Acquah was on target twice as Torino walloped Bormiese 14-0 in Saturday’s pre-season outing.

The Ghanaian scored his first goal in the 49th minute before completing his double in the 81st minute of the one sided affair.

Andrea Belotti registered his name on the score sheet for the Maroons five times, with Karlo Butic and Iago Falque netting a brace while Sasa Lukic, Erick Ferigra plus Alex Berenguer scoring a goal apiece.

The goals were Acquah’s sixth and seventh for the team since joining from Sampdoria in 2015. Last season, he found the net once in 22 games as Walter Mazzarri’s side finished ninth in the Italian topflight.

Torino continue their preparations for the new season with fixtures against Pro Patria, Renate, Nice, Chapecoense and Liverpool.
