FULL TIME! Bayern maintain their lead at the summit of the Bundesliga, courtesy of a narrow 1-0 victory over Hannover! A penalty from Muller was all that the visitors needed, against a resilient and determined home outfit. That's all that we have time for, we hope to see you again next time.
90' + 3' A long ball forward finds its way into the feet of Saint-Maximin, with the substitute feeding an overlapping run from Sakai! The Japanese right-back wins a corner on the right-hand side, with Zieler even making his way forward! Fortunately for the away side, the danger is cleared easily.
90' + 1' We're into the first of three minutes of stoppage time.
89' Vidal hasn't gone straight down the tunnel, which might be a good sign for Bayern's fans, with the physios continuing to fuss over him on the bench. Only a few minutes are left for the away outfit to see out now, with Hannover's brief resurgence quelled.
S. Rode
A. Vidal
Bayern München
88' Vidal limps off with an injury problem, meaning that Rode is asked to see out the final few minutes.
86' There is a slight break in play, with Bayern's physios needing to be called onto the field. Vidal isn't looking in great shape, with Rode immediately readied on the touchline for the away side. Guardiola will hope that it isn't another knee problem for the Chile international.
F. Klaus
K. Karaman
Hannover 96
84' Klaus comes into the game for the final five minutes, with the substitute needing to have a big impact if Hannover are to draw level.
84' Thiago plays an inviting ball down the left-hand side for Coman, which allows the ex-Juve wide man to jink inside Sakai and shoot! Once again, however, the Frenchman can only drag a low drive well wide of the near upright!
83' Benschop is the target of a very long pass down the left flank, but the substitute is caught criminally offside while trying to hang on the shoulder of the last Bayern defender. Hannover then look to break down the opposite wing, but a diagonal aimed towards Sakai is far too heavy.
81' Muller takes aim from the edge of the penalty area, but the Germany international can only guide a very tame strike straight at Zieler. Bayern attack once again moments later, but Sane manages to break up play on the periphery of the box. Hannover counter, but Boateng recovers brilliantly to deny a foray forward from Saint-Maximin.
79' Saint-Maximin tries to slide a dangerous pass down the right flank, but the substitute is quickly robbed of possession. Moments later, a flicked header from Sane looks to loop in behind Rafinha, but the Brazilian hooks away a very acrobatic clearance! Hannover just can't seem to build up any dangerous pressure.
77' Lewandowski tries to turn whenever he gets the ball, but the Bayern striker is being well marshalled by Marcelo this afternoon. A long pass from Sakai is cut out brilliantly by Kimmich, before a follow-up attempt from Sane is well blocked! Neuer still hasn't had a save to make since the restart.
75' Only a quarter of an hour is left on the clock at the HDI-Arena, with Bayern still pressing on and looking to make their advantage count. A back-post cross is stood up towards Lewandowski, but Sakai heads clear.
J. Kimmich
H. Badstuber
Bayern München
73' It looks as though Alonso will be sitting even deeper for the time being, with Kimmich introduced into the fray and sent out to cover a left-sided midfield position. Badstuber, meanwhile, is not happy. The substituted defender throws around some water bottles after losing his temper.
73' Good covering from Badstuber! The Germany international stays switched on, before sprinting across the face of his own box to meet a dangerous through ball ahead of Prib! Hannover's wide man has definitely been the source of everything in the second period. Sakai tries to flight a diagonal into the box, but his delivery bobbles straight out for a goal kick.
71' Coman escapes down the same wing yet again, with Bayern relentlessly pressing and probing for an opening. Thiago flights a crossfield ball into him, before Die Roten work possession back across the box. Martinez looks to take a touch on the edge of the box, but he lets himself down. Not long remains for the visitors to tie up these three points.
A. Saint-Maximin
L. Andreasen
Hannover 96
69' Substitution Leon Andreasen Allan Saint-Maximin
69' Alonso opens play out to Coman on the right, before Tiago and Rafinha play a one-two. The ball eventually finds its way back out to the Frenchman, who dinks a neat cross into the box from the byline, but nobody in white is present at the back post to apply the finishing touches!
67' Good effort from Prib! The left winger drives into space on the edge of the Bayern box, before spotting Neuer slightly off his line! The German lets fly, but can only send a dipping attempt whistling over the crossbar! Not too far away, and that shot has the home fans singing again!
66' Thiago uses some fantastic footwork to get beyond two challenges, before stabbing a low through ball into the path of Lewandowski! The Poland international spins and tries to shoot, but is denied by both Marcelo and the offside flag!
64' Chances are proving to be few and far between for the home side, despite their very vocal fans urging them on desperately. Guardiola is looking exasperated on the touchline for the visiting outfit, with the Catalan coach clearly looking to try and inspire a second goal out of his personnel. A through ball tries to pick out Lewandowski, but Sane is able to shepherd the loose pass back to Zieler.
62' As it stands, Dortmund are leading on the road against Koln, meaning that Guardiola's men need to maintain their lead here today if they are to keep their title rivals at arm's length. Die Roten are retaining possession brilliantly, asking Hannover to come chasing, but a second goal in this contest would be absolutely vital for them.
60' Prib curls a cross in from the left-hand side, but Badstuber rises well at the back post to head a clearance away! That's the first time that Hannover have really threatened in the second half, with Neuer actually having to think about making a decision for his team. Only half an hour remains for the home team to fight back to an equaliser.
C. Benschop
M. Erdinç
Hannover 96
58' Benschop comes into the fray, after a very quiet hour from Erdinc! The Turkish striker only had two half chances and failed to create anything for his teammates at all. A much-needed switch for the hosts.
58' Bayern win themselves a free kick, after Muller is caught from behind around 30 yards from goal in a central area. A neat delivery is flicked over the wall towards Lewandowski, with the striker able to tee up Martinez with his first touch! The Spain international, however, snatches at his shot and screws a terrible attempt wide of the post!
56' Muller and Lewandowski combine on the periphery of the penalty area, with the former sliding a neat through ball into the latter! The Poland international sends a curling effort towards the top-left corner, but Zieler gets up neatly to parry the shot half clear! Thiago tries to make something with the rebound, but puts the ball straight out of play under pressure from the Hannover shot-stopper.
54' Hannover can't get a touch of possession at the moment, with Bayern moving it brilliantly. Thiago tees up Vidal on the edge of the penalty area, but the former Juventus midfielder can only fire an attempt straight down Zieler's throat! The hosts counter through Prib, but the wide man can't dribble his way beyond Rafinha.
52' Alonso opens up play from right to left with a looping diagonal, which Thiago takes down upon his chest. The Spaniard drops a shoulder and sprints infield, before dragging a long-range strike horrendously wide! Lewandowski asks why a pass didn't come his way, with the ex-Dortmund man clearly being frustrated at the moment.
50' The visitors continue to hold onto the ball, with Lewandowski eventually picked out by a long pass. Marcelo rises above the former Lech Poznan forward to keep him out of the game, with the Polish striker struggling to impose himself on affairs too often this afternoon.
48' Zieler and Neuer are both forced into early, rushed clearances, with both sides immediately trying to bring some urgency to the occasion. Quickly, however, Bayern try to monopolise the ball for themselves. Muller chops in from the left-hand side, but Sane slides in to stop the German from shooting.
46' We are back underway in the second half! Bayern have a narrow lead, but Hannover have looked occasionally dangerous while streaking upfield on counter attacks.
HALF TIME! Bayern go into the interval with a one-goal lead, given to them courtesy of a penalty conversion from Muller. The home side have defended well, with Zieler called into action regularly, but Hannover are still in with a chance of stealing a share of the spoils in the second half.
45' Thiago tries to wriggle his way down the left flank, but the former Barcelona midfielder is left in a heap by a poor tackle from Karaman. The Spaniard did brilliantly to knock a cheeky touch around his man after inviting him in, but the resulting set piece comes to nothing. Vidal has what could be the final chance of the half, placing a tame shot straight at Zieler.
43' Hannover do get the ball in the back of the net, but it is ruled out for offside! Karaman tries to place a finish home, which deflects off Martinez and over the line, but the linesman's flag was raised very early indeed. A correct decision.
42' Suddenly, Hannover have to come out of their shell if they are to equalise this afternoon, meaning that Guardiola's men might be able to exploit more gaps. Sakai feeds a pass into Erdinc on the edge of the area, but the Turkish striker can only win a corner after trying to wriggle free of some close attention!
T. Müller
Penalty Goal
Bayern München
40' GOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! DIE ROTEN HAVE THE LEAD! Muller keeps his cool to slot a low finish into the bottom-right corner! After pushing on desperately without any success, Bayern have their breakthrough from the spot.
39' PENALTY FOR BAYERN! Schulz goes down with an arm flailing, with a cross from Coman catching the Hannover defender in his extended limb!
38' A long pass forward from Martinez looks for Lewandowski, but Marcelo rises highest to deny the Spaniard's ball. Bayern continue to press on and probe for a gap, but Hannover are managed to put up quite a fight.
36' We're into the final 10 minutes of the first half, with Bayern continuing to search for an elusive breakthrough goal. A combination of a lack of final ball and two good saves from Zieler is keeping Die Roten at bay for the moment. Hannover try to counter with Albornoz down the left, but Rafinha covers across to snuff out the danger!
34' Siege mentality for Hannover! The home side can barely get out of their own box at the moment, with Bayern creating half chance after half chance. Thiago is given space on the edge of the area, but the Spaniard can only send a curling attempt a few yards wide of the far post!
33' Chance missed by Coman! The ex-PSG youngster is picked out at the back post, by a searching, diagonal ball! Zieler is out of position, but with the goal at his mercy the France international slides past the delivery! Moments later, he is back to his feet and scampering down the right flank, but his eventual cross is cut out by Marcelo!
32' Coman flights a delivery into the box from the right flank, but Zieler is quickly off his line to claim the ball. The German goalkeeper has been vital to Hannover staying on level terms in this match, as Bayern continue to knock on the door. Erdinc has barely had a touch thus far.
30' LEWANDOWSKI HITS THE POST! The ex-Dortmund striker wriggles into a pocket of space on the edge of the box, before unleashing a curling, left-footed effort! It sails onto the inside of the upright, with Muller first to react! With the goal at his mercy, the Germany international pokes a finish goalwards, but Zieler recovers to save with his feet!
28' Hannover are being forced into long, direct passes forward, which the likes of Boateng and Martinez have been able to deal with simply. Sakai takes a long throw from the right flank, before being picked out while running to the byline, but an errant touch from the Japanese defender surrenders his side's pressure and concedes a goal kick to Bayern.
26' Bayern win themselves a corner, but a combination of Sane and Sakai denies the visitors from taking the lead once again. Any forays forward from the hosts are quickly being mopped up by the Bavarian rearguard. Vidal goes close merely six yards from goal, following a neat square ball from the byline, but the Chile international can't get to the delivery clearly ahead of Schulz!
24' Bayern continue to control possession, with Neuer having very little to do, other than the one early save to deny Andreasen. Both coaches are camped on the edge of their technical area, barking out instructions in order to try and maintain the competitive status quo. Die Roten are constantly trying to overload with quick diagonals.
22' Thiago tries to lift a diagonal into the box from the right-hand side, which picks out Lewandowski in space. The Poland international takes down a neat touch, before firing a near-post half volley straight down the throat of Zieler!
20' The referee is forced to calm things down in the centre of the field, following a cynical foul from the hosts. Bayern continue to press on, but Hannover have two thicks banks of defensive personnel. Rafinha tries to break down the right, but can only manage to win a corner against Albornoz.
18' Zieler is forced to make an acrobatic save at his near post, with the German goalkeeper rising well with his top hand to push an effort from Coman to safety! That's the second time that the Hannover shot-stopper has come into the fray to bail his teammates out massively.
16' Rafinha cushions a first-time pass down the line in search of Muller, but the ball is overcooked by the Brazil international. Bayern are yet to find the back of the net in this game, but they have spent long periods of the contest camped in the opposition half. Hannover just keep absorbing pressure.
14' The first corner is headed behind once again by Sakai, with Bayern maintaining some heavy early pressure. Marcelo is warned for pushing by the referee, before Alonso whips in a second. Martinez is the target, but the former Athletic Club midfielder is penalised for climbing all over the aforementioned Brazilian.
12' Bayern open the ball out to the right once again, but a clipped pass from Rafinha is intercepted. The Brazilian hasn't had a great impact on procceedings thus far. The away outfit are patient and switch play again, but Coman can only manage to win a corner from Sakai.
10' This game has been full of action from the off, with Hannover showing that they have the potential to do some damage on the counter. Bayern switch play out to Rafinha on the right-hand side, but his cross is blocked. The visitors keep the pressure on, but a clipped diagonal from Alonso bounces straight out of play!
8' HANNOVER HIT THE BAR! The hosts smell blood! After a looping cross was angled into the box from the left, a flicked header from Andreasen is guided onto the woodwork by the despairing hand of Neuer! Erdinc latches onto the rebound, but can only blast the ball high and wide of the target! Two important early saves already!
7' Bayern should arguably be in the lead already, with Hannover having their goalkeeper to thank for keeping things level! Badstuber puts his side in trouble, after losing the ball in a poor area of the field, but an eventual free-kick delivery from Schmiedebach bobbles straight behind for a goal kick.
5' Bayern calm down the contest and look to settle into their rhythm, with the away side holding onto possession at a fairly slow tempo. Guardiola's men are showing their intention to dominate from the off, with Hannover sat very deep indeed. Zieler is forced into a great save to deny Thiago, after a fantastic cross from Vidal! The ex-Barca midfielder took the ball down on his chest, before seeing a volleyed effort stopped well!
3' Hannover try to get hold of the ball in the opening stages, with Sane showing a lovely piece of skill in order to beat Vidal and hold off Rafinha. At the moment, it looks as though the latter is playing as a right centre-back for the visitors, with Alonso happy to sit very deep and plug in any gaps.
1' We are underway in the first half at the HDI-Arena! The hosts are in all red, meaning that Bayern are forced to don their white away strip.

Hannover starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Zieler; Sakai, Marcelo, Schulz, Albornoz; Sane, Schmiedebach; Prib, Andreasen, Karaman; Erdinc.
TEAM NEWS: After his fantastic goal in cup action, Xabi Alonso starts in the middle of the park, with recent contract renewers Javi Martinez, Thomas Muller and Jerome Boateng also getting starts. Philipp Lahm is absent, with Rafinha asked to step in on the right flank. Arturo Vidal is preferred to Joshua Kimmich, with Thiago Alcantara getting a start. Kingsley Coman will continue to get a run in the side, with both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery continuing to suffer from injury problems.
TEAM NEWS: Mevlut Erdinc starts up top for Hannover, despite the former St. Etienne striker failing to find the back of the net for his latest club. In 11 games, the Turkish forward has been goal-dry. There are no real surprises in the back four, with Salif Sane, Manuel Schmiedebach and Leon Andreasen having the potential to offer real protection in the middle of the park. Edgar Prib and Kenan Karaman will be deployed in the wide areas. Allan Saint-Maximin is among the subs.
Hannover have only recorded one win in their last four competitive fixtures, with that victory coming in a 4-0 thrashing of newly promoted Ingolstadt. Bayern, meanwhile have only lost one of their last 12 games in all competitions. The form book points towards the Bavarian visitors picking up maximum points, but the hosts' counter-attacking style of play could cause some problems for Pep Guardiola and company.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of Bayern Munich's visit to face Hannover in one of today's early Bundesliga kick offs, as the league leaders look to extend the points cushion between themselves and Borussia Dortmund. Currently, Die Roten are five points away from their closest rivals, while the hosts sit in the relegation play-off place. A win today for the home outfit could see them rise as high as 13th in the German top flight.
