Sadio Mane has backed Mohamed Salah to halt Manchester City run when they face Liverpool in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal on Wednesday evening.
The Egypt international has been in a blistering form since joining the Anfield giants in the summer of 2017.
On Saturday, the 25-year-old's match-winning effort against Crystal Palace saw him become the second African player after Didier Drogba to score 29 goals in a single Premier League season. And his strike partner is optimistic that he can 'make the difference' against Pep Guardiola's side.
“Mo can make the difference in tight games,” Mane told Liverpool Echo.
“He’s a great player and he helps us to win games. He showed his quality. Everybody is happy to have Mo in the team.
“We are going to help him to score even more goals for us. We want to give him more assists.
“City is a very big game but everything is possible. We play at Anfield. We’re going to do our best.”
