Oscar Garcia's men suffered a setback when they lost to Valencia at the weekend and Willie Duncan sees a low scoring affair at the Amex Stadium on TuesdayBrighton and Hove Albion conclude their preparations for the forthcoming Championship season when they play host to Norwich City in a friendly fixture on Tuesday evening.
It has been a turbulent summer for the Seagulls with previous manager Gus Poyet leaving the club in acrimonious fashion before being replaced by Oscar Garcia.
Garcia’s men, though, had gone unbeaten throughout pre-season before they were defeated 3-1 by Valencia at the weekend and the Seagulls are chalked up as a 6/4 (2.50) chance with Bet365 to bounce back by beating the Canaries.
The Premier League side are Bet365’s marginal favourites to win the match at 7/5 (2.40) while the same firm go 12/5 (3.40) that the match ends in a draw.
Norwich have yet to score in three pre-season outings this summer but manager Chris Hughton will hope that the acquisition of strikers Ricky van Wolfswinkel and Gary Hooper will provide his side with some much-needed firepower ahead of the new campaign.
Should the Canaries fail to find their scoring touch once more, the 19/20 (1.95) quote from Bet365 for fewer than three goals to be scored here would represent excellent value to punters.
Indeed, prior to the visit of Villareal, Oscar Garcia’s charges had conceded just one goal in five pre-season friendlies so another tight encounter appears to be on the cards this evening.
If Tuesday’s encounter ends goalless, Bet365 will refund all losing correct score, half-time/full-time and scorecast bets placed before kick-off – an offer which is sure to prove attractive to customers.
Goals seem unlikely to flow here so there may be value in backing the draw at both half-time and full-time at a juicy 9/2 (5.50) with Bet365 while the draw at half-time with the Premier League club prevailing at full-time is chalked up at 5/1 (6.0) with the same firm.
Bet365 also go 5/1 (6.0) on Brighton winning the match after a half-time stalemate and, given the Seagulls’ solid defensive record, that is a price which definitely carries appeal here.
However, punters are advised to play safe and snap up the 19/20 (1.95) quote from Bet365 for fewer than three goals to be scored when these two sides meet.
Have a pre-match Correct Score, Half-Time/Full-Time or Scorecast bet on ANY match and if the game finishes 0-0 bet365 will refund all losing bets on these markets!
