Manchester City-Chelsea Betting Preview: Hosts look good value to edge out Benitez's Blues

Manchester City-Chelsea Betting Preview: Hosts look good value to edge out Benitez's Blues

Latest Newcastle-Southampton Betting Preview: Back the net to bulge at both ends when the Magpies face the Saints Previous Next Barcelona-Sevilla Betting Preview: Back both teams to score at Camp Nou

Roberto Mancini's men have won three straight Premier League encounters against Chelsea at home, and Jamie Dickenson is backing the hosts to extend that run

Second meet third in the Premier League on Sunday when Manchester City welcome Chelsea.

The home side are the clear favourites with Bet365 for victory at 10/11 (1.90), a good price given their recent dominance over Chelsea on their own patch.

The last time the two sides met was a dull 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge though, and another stalemate can be backed this time around at 13/5 (3.60).

Chelsea are 3/1 (4.0) outsiders to win the game having last tasted success in the blue side of Manchester back in 2008 thanks to goals from Ricardo Carvalho, Frank Lampard and Nicolas Anelka.

While Lampard remains, much have changed since then with City becoming a more powerful domestic force under Roberto Mancini and his side look unlikely to fall to defeat here given their dominance at home and without a European campaign to factor in.

City are still in with a great shout of FA Cup success, but unlike Chelsea will not have to utilise any energy in midweek European encounters across the continent.

The Blues on the other hand could be drained from their Europa League game on Thursday night when they were fortunate to progress thanks to a late strike from Eden Hazard.

One player who is crucial to City's title tilt is Argentina international Sergio Aguero, who now has three goals in as many games.

While Mancini maintains reservations about Carlos Tevez due to their falling out last season, and used Edin Dzeko largely as a super sub earlier in this campaign, Aguero is his most trusted forward.

After a quiet spell of three goals without a game in January, Aguero looks back on form and scored twice against Leeds last weekend.

Another goal here is available at 6/5 (2.20) anytime, but more tempting yet is Aguero to score first at 9/2 (5.50).
