Leicester-Wolves Betting Preview: Chris Wood's return to signal a comfortable home win

The striker has been a revelation for Leicester since his January move, and Jamie Dickenson is backing him to keep on scoring for the hosts against Dean Saunders' side
Automatic promotion contenders Leicester City will hope to keep their strong league form going when they welcome struggling Wolves to the King Power Stadium on Thursday evening.

Despite drawing against Championship side Huddersfield last time out in the FA Cup, Coral go odds-on at 1/2 (1.50) that Leicester win this game.

The visitors are a lengthy 5/1 (6.0) to record their first victory in seven, while the draw is available at 3/1 (4.0).

With four straight league wins in a row it is not hard to see why the bookmakers favour Nigel Pearson's side, who have dramatically recovered from their December slump when the Foxes went without a win in four.

Part of that turnaround is down to new striker Chris Wood, who joined from West Brom on January 1 having been on loan at Millwall for the first half of the season.

Leicester have won all four games Wood has started since his £2 million move, while the draw with Huddersfield saw the striker start on the bench.

The New Zealand international has seven goals in five games for the Foxes, and even managed to net the equaliser against the Terriers last weekend when he came off the bench with just half an hour to play.

Wood is expected to be recalled to the starting line-up for the visit of Wolves, and would not surprise anyone if he was to find the back of the net at 8/11 (1.73) anytime.

While Leicester's price to win outright is not particularly appealing, they are tempting at 5/4 (2.25) for victory from a -1 handicap.

For the value bet, a 3-0 scoreline in the hosts' favour looks tempting at 10/1 (11.0) given their form, and Wolves' inability to find the net in recent games.

Dean Saunders' side have managed just two goals in three games since the Welshman took over, while the west Midlands club have netted only three times in their last seven games in all competitions.

Chris Wood to score anytime at 8/11 (1.73) with Coral Leicester to win 3-0 at 10/1 (11.0) with Coral
