Barcelona-Osasuna Betting Preview: Why the Blaugrana should be backed to score four or more

Barcelona-Osasuna Betting Preview: Why the Blaugrana should be backed to score four or more

Latest Barcelona-Real Madrid Betting Preview: Why backing Ronaldo to score offers serious value Previous

With the Catalans finding the back of the net with ease at Camp Nou, our Spanish expert believes they should be backed to score over 3.5 goals

Bet: Returns: Osasuna £25.00 Draw £32.00 Sevilla £28.00 WilliamHill

It is 19 matches in all competitions since Barcelona last lost a game at Camp Nou and it is extremely unlikely that their unbeaten run will come to an end against Osasuna on Sunday evening.

Indeed, the side from Navarre have won just one of their nine away games in La Liga this season, and their impotence on the road is reflected in Paddy Power's price of 20/1 (20.00) for them to win here.

Barca meanwhile are offered at an unbackable 1/12 (1.08) with the draw which would be almost as surprising as an away win, available at 10/1 (11.00).

If Barca are going to win this game, and it does indeed very much look like they will, the real question has to be by how much? Having netted 15 goals in their last four home matches Barcelona are in impressive scoring form, which is a bit like saying Usain Bolt is pretty quick at running.

Against an Osasuna side whose style of play is rather less appealing, Barca should be able to work a good few goals.

Therefore delving in the team goals market and backing the Catalans to score over 3.5 goals at evens (2.00) looks to be a solid investment.

This bet has paid out in each of the Blaugrana's last three home matches, and offers us some decent value, which is no mean feat when Barcelona are playing at home against lacklustre opposition.

For higher odds, consider a smaller punt on Barca to win by exactly three goals at 7/2 (4.50). This is an intelligent value bet, as it backs up our initial selection, should the home side only manage a 3-0 win, but would also pay out with a 4-1 or 5-2 home win as well.
