With both sides having no problems scoring in recent games, our Spanish expert Phil Kitromilides believes neither will keep a clean sheet on SundayIf Barcelona are to drop any more points this season, and one suspects that they cannot simply continue to win every match, then this weekend's clash at Malaga could feasibly be an encounter which could cause them problems.
The Andalusians ended 2012 on a high by defeating Real Madrid 3-2 at La Rosaleda at Bet365 price another win for Manuel Pellegrini's side at 6/1 (7.00).
Meanwhile, it is worth remembering that Barca have won every single league match they have played apart from a 2-2 draw with Madrid, and are offered at 2/5 (1.40) with the draw available at 15/4 (4.75).
Of course there is little reason for us to doubt Barca apart from the simple law of averages. Sooner or later they will lose a league game, yet there seems to be no good argument for backing against the Catalans.
What is worth bearing in mind, however, is Malaga's proficiency in front of goal, which has seen them score in each of their last 13 home league games.
Barcelona for their part have conceded in eight of their last 10 Liga encounters, leading us to the logical conclusion that both teams to score at 4/6 (1.65) looks like an extremely solid bet.
Indeed this has been the bet of choice with Barca this season, and would have paid out in 13 of their 18 league games so far. Against a decent Malaga side, it has every chance of providing us with some profit once more.
For a value bet back over 2.5 goals in the first half at 4/1 (5.00) a bet that has remarkably paid out in four of Barca's last five league games.
