Barcelona - Real Zaragoza Betting Preview: Back the Catalans to score at least four this weekend

Barcelona - Real Zaragoza Betting Preview: Back the Catalans to score at least four this weekend

Latest Barcelona-Sevilla Betting Preview: Back both teams to score at Camp Nou Previous

With the Blaugrana in fine scoring form, our resident Spanish expert Phil Kitromilides is backing them to have a productive time in front of goal at home to Zaragoza

Bet: Returns: Espanyol £60.00 Draw £40.00 Barcelona £15.30 WilliamHill
Bet: Returns: Espanyol £55.00 Draw £38.00 Barcelona £16.15 PaddyPower
Bet: Returns: Espanyol £55.00 Draw £41.00 Barcelona £15.70 Bet365
Another exercise in damage limitation is on the cards for Real Zaragoza as they travel to Camp Nou on Saturday evening to face a rampant Barcelona. The side from Aragon managed fairly well at the Santiago Bernabeu a couple of weeks back before conceding two very late goals to lose 4-0 to Real Madrid, and, in truth, a comfortable home victory is once again expected in Catalonia.

William Hill offer Barcelona at 1/10 (1.10) to record a win, while Zaragoza can be backed at 22/1 (23.00) and the draw is at 8/1 (9.00).

While defensively the Catalans remain slightly susceptible, there are no question marks about their ability to find the back of the net at the other end of the field having scored 17 times in their last four league matches.

With Zaragoza not possessing one of the league's most solid defences (conceding seven goals in their last two games), backing Barcelona to score a few goals looks the way to go in this encounter.

The price of 5/6 (1.83) for Barca to score four or more goals looks extremely tempting and offers decent value considering recent results.

This bet has paid out in three of the Catalans' last four league matches, as well as in both league meetings between the sides last season and has every chance of comfortably proving to be the correct selection once more.

For a value bet, backing Zaragoza to score one goal in the first half half at 9/2 (5.50) is well worthy of a small investment. Barcelona's defensive frailties have seen them concede first half goals in ten competitive games this season and while Zaragoza do not have enough quality to win the match, scoring a goal in the opening 45 minutes is by no means beyond them.
