Blackpool - Leeds Betting Preview: At least three goals look likely at Bloomfield Road

With two of the highest scoring teams from last season meeting on Tuesday, Phil Kitromilides believes over 2.5 goals is the best bet for tonight's game
Having lost last season's Championship play-off final against West Ham, Blackpool began this campaign in the best possible way by recording an excellent 2-0 win at Millwall on the opening day.

This evening Leeds are the visitors for the Seasiders' first home match and Bet365 offers odds of 11/10 (2.10) on a home win. Leeds meanwhile can be backed at 12/5 (3.40) with the draw being offered at the same price.

Last season Blackpool won both matches they played against the team from Yorkshire, and they will be keen not only for the three points, but also to turn Bloomfield Road into a fortress, upon which to build a solid foundation for another promotion push.

Ian Holloway's men only lost three of the 23 matches they played at home last season, while Leeds won only eight of their 23 away games.

Things point towards a home win, but with Leeds also starting the season well, perhaps a slightly less risky option is to back over 2.5 goals being scored in the game, on offer at 8/11 (1.72).

Only promoted Southampton scored more goals at home than Blackpool last season, and Ian Holloway has always tried to instill an attacking mentality into his side.

For their part Leeds also had a habit of scoring goals on the road last season, with only five teams netting more away from home.

For a value bet back Leeds' in-form striker Luciano Becchio to score at anytime at 2/1 (3.00), with the Argentine having netted in both of Leeds' competitive matches played so far this season.
