Paul Green and Stephen Henderson have been drafted into the Republic of Ireland squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers with Germany and Kazakhstan

Noel King has been forced to add Stephen Henderson and Paul Green to his Republic of Ireland squad as replacements for Keiren Westwood and Jonathan Walters, who have both been ruled out of the World Cup qualifiers with Germany and Kazakhstan.

The Football Association of Ireland revealed that the duo will miss out due to injury. Westwood will receive medical treatment during the international window, while Walters has been ruled out following a medical examination.

Henderson is the second uncapped goalkeeper added to the squad by King after Rob Elliot was brought in to replace Darren Randolph. Stephen Quinn and Paul McShane remain on standby for the Boys in Green, who take on Germany at the RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne on Friday, October 11 before facing Kazakhstan four days later.
