The striker scored his first goal in over a year as Ian Baraclough's side progressed to the last four of the League of Ireland Cup
Limerick started well, with Danny Galbraith impressing in front of the almost 1,000 strong attendance at Thomond Park, but it was the visitors who took the lead. Danny North saw his shot palmed onto the post by goalkeeper Barry Ryan, but Sligo struck from the resulting corner. Kieran Djilali swung the ball in from the right with Jeff Henderson rising highest to power his header into the net.
Sligo went in two up at the break, thanks to another Djilali corner kick. The winger's ball found Gavin Peers unmarked, and the defender heded home. Garbhan Coughlan came on for his first Limerick game of the season after returning from Athlone Town, and looked lively after the break.
However, it was Sligo who added to their tally with Danny North scoring his first goal in over a year. The striker had missed most of last season through injury, and opened his tally for 2013 after a poor pass from goalkeeper Ryan was intercepted by Lee Lynch.
Youngster Liam Martin had put in a solid game, and provided the assist for Sligo's fourth, setting up substitute Evan McMillan, who scored just a minute after his introduction. The defender went close again near the end as the Bit o' Red eased to victory.
