The Shannonsiders goalkeeper was instrumental in his side's draw with the Bit o' Red which knocked Ian Baraclough's side off the top of the Airtricity Premier Division table

Sligo Rovers were unable to beat Limerick at Thomond Park on Friday evening thanks to the heroics of goalkeeper Barry Ryan and defender Patrick Nzuzi, allowing St Patrick's Athletic to overtake them at the top of the Airtricity Premier Division table.

Pat's were worthy winners away to Bohemians, and an all-round performance saw them dominate in all areas of the pitch. Defender Conor Kenna was solid once more, while John Russell and Greg Bolger pulled the strings in midfield.

Fellow title contenders Derry City came from behind to record a 1-1 draw with Cork City, with Ryan McBride putting in an outstanding performance to see his side share the spoils. Dundalk's title hopes suffered another blow as two goals from David McMillan saw them defeated 3-2 by UCD.

Ronan Finn scored the only goal as Shamrock Rovers narrowly overcame Shelbourne, while Bray Wanderers' tie with Drogheda United was a goalfest. Kieran 'Marty' Waters impressed in midfield, but veteran strikers Jason Byrne and Decland 'Fabio' O'Brien took the plaudits with three goals and two goals respectively.
