The Students travelled to the Brandywell as serious underdogs, but David McMillan kept a cool head to score two penalties, thus ensuring three points for Martin Russell's side

Martin Russell's side have at times struggled to provide a cutting edge in the final third but in David McMillan, they have a striker who knows where the goal is. The former St Patrick's Athletic forward played a starring role in Friday's 4-2 victory over the Candystripes as he coolly slotted away two penalties in the space of four minutes to ensure all three points headed back to Belfield.
The 24-year-old's driving run from midfield just after the hour mark led to the all-important opening goal before his quick fire brace from the spot stunned the hosts. McMillan now has six goals to his name this term and has formed an exciting partnership with the equally impressive Dean Clarke.
The duo caused Derry's normally solid defence problems all evening as the home side’s rearguard found themselves at "sixes and sevens". If the Students can keep creating chances for McMillan, there is no doubt the Dublin-born striker will fire the College up the table.
