Lilywhites boss Stephen Kenny has added another face to his squad ahead of the forthcoming 2013 season in the form of Shanahan, who becomes his 19th signingAirtricity Premier Division side Dundalk have completed the signing of goalkeeper Aaron Shanahan ahead of the 2013 season.
The 28-year-old joins the Lilywhites for his third spell with the club after leaving Shamrock Rovers. Shanahan began his career with Dundalk before joining Kilkenny City in 2006. He has also had spells with Longford Town, Athlone Town and Drogheda United.
Shanahan becomes Stephen Kenny's 19th signing since his appointment as manager of the club in November 2012.
Meanwhile, Cork City have also continued to build their squad ahead of the 2013 campaign, with winger Sean Brosnan joining the club.
The former Limerick player had been training with the Leesiders and has agreed to commit to the club ahead of the forthcoming season.
Cork boss Tommy Dunne described the 20-year-old former Republic of Ireland youth international as a 'good lad' and hopes that he will challenge for a first team place.
"He's a good lad and he trains well," Dunne told the club's official website. "He was in training with us before and we didn’t have room for him at that time, but we do now and I hope he does well.
"He has not come in just to make up the numbers, and I hope he can push on and challenge for a place in the first team," added the Cork City manager
