Fourteen Premier Division licences and four First Division licences were awarded, with Waterford United waiting to make the step up to the top tier if Dundalk cannot fulfil the Committe's requirements.
This morning an official statement emerged from Oriel Park on the club's status.
"Over the past six months the process of transferring the club’s license to the new company in control of Dundalk FC has been on-going. This has been a very complicated process due to the uniqueness of this situation.
"Dundalk Football Club has received a request to provide one further piece of information to the licensing committee. This is a formality and will be concluded in the next 24-48 hours.
We’d like to thank all Dundalk fans for their continued support!"
