Reports have emerged that Reading are set to offer striker Noel Hunt a new deal at the Madejski Stadium.
According to the Irish Independent, the three-time Ireland international is rumoured to be on the verge of signing a new contract with the Royals, as his current deal runs out at the end of the season.
Hunt has played 16 Premier League games for Brian McDermott's side this season, netting against Newcastle United and Swansea City as the club try to battle relegation.
The 30-year-old attacker was also on the scoresheet in both cups, and scored Reading's second goal in their 3-1 FA Cup Third Round victory over Crawley Town last weekend.
McDermott feels that Hunt still can offer something to the club and hopes to tie up a new contract with the former Shamrock Rovers player of the year.
