Sligo Rovers visit Derry City in first round of 2013 Airtricity Premier Division fixtures

Airtricity Premier Division champions Sligo Rovers visit the Brandywell for a north-west derby against Derry City on matchday one of the 2013 Airtricity Premier Division season on Friday, March 8.

A mouthwatering clash is in store at Oriel Park as Stephen Kenny, sacked by Shamrock Rovers towards the end of a disappointing 2012 campaign, faces the Hoops in the first round of fixtures with his new team, Dundalk.

Newly-promoted Limerick FC are scheduled to play their home matches at the home of Munster rugby, Thomond Park, and face Cork City on matchday one.

Last season's runners-up, Drogheda United, meanwhile, open their campaign against the team that finished third, St Patrick's Athletic.

Elsewhere, Dublin rivals Bohemians and UCD square off at Dalymount Park while Bray Wanderers host Shelbourne at the Carlisle Grounds.
