The Ireland right back has reportedly passed a threshold in his contract which means he will be offered a new contract
The 24-year-old, who signed for the English Premier League side in 2008 from Sligo Rovers, has secured the right-back slot in the Everton line-up this season and will put pen to paper on a new deal in the near future.
Coleman's current contract expires in 2015 but it is believed that a clause in his current deal triggers an extension once a certain number of games have been played.
The player's agent, Hayden Evans, told the Irish Independent: "We have held positive talks with Everton and I am confident there will be a positive conclusion soon."
Coleman has enjoyed a fine season with club and country as he has finally won his place in the Ireland line-up under Giovanni Trapattoni after missing Euro 2012.
