Norwich City midfielder Anthony Pilkington has said that Wes Hoolahan is 'probably the best player that [he's] played with' after the Canaries' 2-1 home victory over Wigan in the Premier League.
Hoolahan provided Pilkington with an assist for the opening goal of the game against the Latics, but the 24-year-old midfielder then turned provider when he set up Hoolahan for the winning goal.
Speaking to the club's official website, Pilkington said that Hoolahan was a 'great player' and that it was a positive development for the Canaries that he pledged his future to the club.
"Wes did really well for the first goal, he persisted with the tackle and slipped a ball through so I thought it was only right to do the same for him in the second half," joked Pilkington after the game."
He continued: "He’s a great player, and probably the best player I’ve played with. You only have to look at his footwork and how good he is on the ball.
"It’s great for the club that he’ll be here until 2015, and great for him too," said the former Huddersfield Town attacker.
