Alan Mathews has strengthened his squad with two new signings as well as extending the contracts of a number of key players

Airtricity Premier Division side Shelbourne have announced two new signings ahead of the forthcoming 2013 league campaign.

Defender Pat Flynn has joined the club from St Patrick's Athletic, while midfielder Sean Brennan has agreed to join the Tolka Park side from League of Ireland Cup winners Drogheda United.

Flynn, 27, spent the 2012 season with FAI Cup finalists St Patrick's Athletic and previously had a spell at Shamrock Rovers where he won two league medals, while 26-year-old midfielder Brennan was a regular in the Drogheda United side that finished runners-up in 2012.

Meanwhile, the club has also confirmed that Glenn Cronin, Philly Hughes and Stephen Hurley have agreed to extend their contract with the Reds.
