Derby County striker Conor Sammon has said that scoring two goals in his side's 3-2 victory over Birmingham in the Championship on Saturday November 24 made it 'the perfect game'.
The former Wigan Athletic striker scored a goal in each half to help propel the Rams on to victory and he admitted that he was pleased by his contribution.
"It was a brilliant game of football to play in and I am sure it was very entertaining to watch too," Sammon told the club's official website. "It was very open; the pitch was slick and fast which is a dream for the striker, and I thought we played well today."
He added: "I have got my family over. My two brothers had travelled over for the game which was brilliant. I was also delighted that the game was being aired on television as I have got a lot of family and friends watching from Ireland.
"To get two goals, put in a good performance and ultimately get the three points tonight made it the perfect game and the perfect evening for me," he said.
Former Derry City striker Sammon joined Championship side Derby County in 2012 from Wigan Athletic and has scored four goals this season.
