Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has praised full back Enda Stevens after his performance during the 3-2 defeat to Manchester United yesterday, November 10.
The former Shamrock Rovers defender made his full debut for Villa when he started against the Red Devils and despite the defeat, his manager Lambert was full of admiration for the 22-year-old, saying that he gave him 'absolutely everything'.
"Enda was terrific," Lambert told avfc.co.uk after the game. "He was up against [Antonio] Valencia who was by no means a slouch. Enda gave me absolutely everything, as they all did."
He added: "The Premier League is really tough. They are a young side but they are playing really well at the minute. They kept on going. I couldn't fault them for the way the lads played and kept going."
Enda Stevens is a former Republic of Ireland under-21 international and has made two league appearances for Aston Villa since joining from Shamrock Rovers in 2011.
