Robbie Keane scores two in LA Galaxy play off victory
The Republic of Ireland captain bagged a brace to ensure that Galaxy progressed to the MLS Western Conference Play Off final
Robbie Keane scored two goals against San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday November 7 to fire LA Galaxy into the Western Conference play off final on Sunday November 11.Galaxy overturned a 1-0 first leg defeat to win 3-2 on aggregate and progress to the final where they face either Seattle Sounders or Real Salt Lake.
Republic of Ireland international Keane opened the scoring on 21 minutes with a 22-yard strike which went in off the post, before doubling his tally on 34 minutes when he rounded the goalkeeper to slot home the second goal of the evening.
Mike Magee added a third goal five minutes later, while San Jose could only muster a consolation goal on 82 minutes through Alan Gordon, meaning the second-lef tie finished 3-1.
