Michael O'Neill names 24-man Northern Ireland squad to face Portugal

Hull City pair receive their first call up, while record goalscorer David Healy returns as the Green and White Army prepare to face Portugal
Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill has announced a 24-man squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifier against Portugal on Tuesday October 16.

Hull City defender Alex Bruce has received his first call up to the squad after switching from the Republic of Ireland. The 28-year-old centre back won two senior caps for the Boys in Green but has opted to declare for Michael O'Neill's team.

Bruce's Hull City team mate Joe Dudgeon has also received his first senior call up after previously being capped at under-21 level.

There is no place for Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Lee Camp, with Falkirk goalkeeper Michael McGovern included in his stead.

Record goalscorer David Healy returns to the squad, while Peterborough midfielder Grant McCann and Celtic's Paddy McCourt have also been called up.
