thumbnail Hello,

The Baggies front man is keen to 'put things right' as his side prepare to take on Reading in the Premier League on Saturday

West Brom striker Shane Long has said that the Baggies are hoping to 'put things right' after their 3-0 defeat to Fulham when they take on Reading at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday September 22.

“We’ve now got a point to prove and we’re all looking forward to the weekend. It’s nice to be back in training and hopefully we can put things right," Long told the club's official website.

“It hurts when you watch games back on the telly. I think the general impression was Fulham were good and that they turned us over in a routine victory. But it wasn’t as simple as that, so it would be nice to set the record straight on Saturday."

The 25-year-old forward spent six years at Reading prior to his move to the Hawthorns and he says that he is 'really looking forward' to the game against Brian McDermott's men.

"It’s going to be strange playing against the shirt I played in for six years," admitted Long. "But hopefully I’ll have the bragging rights come the end of the game."
