thumbnail Hello,

The Republic of Ireland captain is at the centre of an ongoing dispute between a sports agency and Galaxy over 'exploited information' during transfer from Tottenham

A sports agency has filed a lawsuit against LA Galaxy and the MLS due to a dispute arising out of the transfer of Robbie Keane from Tottenham Hotspur to the Californian club.

According to a report by Reuters, the agency Real Time International Ltd (RTI) is set to sue the American league and LA Galaxy for a lack of compensation paid to the agency.

The complaint was lodged at a Manhattan federal Court where it was alleged that the MLS side "improperly deprived RTI of a fee of at least $385,000."

Representatives from both LA Galaxy and Major League Soccer declined to comment on the issue, which is ongoing.

Keane joined LA Galaxy from English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur last year for a fee of $5.7 million and has scored 12 goals for the club this seaon.
