The former West Brom striker says that his main concern is playing regular football and states that moving to Nottingham Forest can help his careerNew Nottingham Forest striker Simon Cox has said that he is not concerned about leaving West Brom if it means that he is getting regular football.
Speaking to reporters ahead of Ireland's friendly against Serbia on August 15, the 25-year-old stressed the view that Forest were a big club with a great fan-base and as a result, he had no worries about dropping divisions.
"All I ever wanted to do was to play football and now at Forest I have an opportunity to do that week in week out," Cox told the Evening Herald.
"I had no worries about going down to the Championship," he added. "You always want to be in the Premier League but it was tough for me to break into the side at West Brom.
"And this was an opportunity I had to play first team football on a regular basis. Forest are a massive club with a great history and a great fan-base, the stadium's great and the training facilities are top-class," concluded the former Swindon Town striker.
