After securing progression by beating NK Siroki Brijeg, the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) agreed to postpone the Saints' fixture against Sligo Rovers, allowing the Inchicore side a rest before their tie with Hannover.
“The few days off at the weekend have been great as we’ve had a lot of games lately and the extra-time last week," Chambers told stpatsfc.com.
"So we’re now feeling fresh, there’s been a great buzz around this week and we’re all just really looking forward to the game,” he added.
“We’ve seen a bit of what they’re like and they are a very good side. Every one of us just wants to put on a performance and play as well as we possibly can and as a team we want to do that. So fingers crossed we can do that,” concluded Chambers.
St Patrick's Athletic host Hannover 96 in the Uefa Europa League Third Qualifying round at Tallaght Stadium this evening Thursday, August 2. Kick off 19.45 BST.
