UCD came from a goal behind to draw with St. Patrick's Athletic in an entertaining match at the UCD Bowl

Bottom-placed UCD took their 2012 Airtricity Premier Division points tally to 11 as they came from a goal behind to draw with St. Patrick's Athletic.

St Pat's named a strong starting eleven despite fixture congestion due to their Europa League participation, and were the better of the two sides in the opening 45 minutes, with Sean O'Connor, Christy Fagan, and Jake Carroll all being allowed chances on the UCD goal.

Pat's pressure eventually paid off as Chris Forrester broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time to give the visitors a deserved lead. Forrester finished well after a nice ball from Greg Bolger put him through on goal.

The Students started to get themselves back into the game after the break, and Daniel Ledwith forcing a great save from Brendan Clarke. Ledwith's curling free-kick looked destined for the net, but Clarke was at full-stretch to push the ball out for a corner.

At the other end, Greg Bolger was kept out by Mark McGinley who did well to get back to save it, but moments later UCD were level. Substitute Samir Belhout crossed for Robbie Benson who struck to make it 1-1. The hosts had McGinley to thank for a point, with the goalkeeper keeping out Forrester and Anto Flood as the clock wound down.
