Leesiders snap up 24-year-old from Munster Senior League while fixture against Bohs is rescheduled
The central midfielder, who was previously with Douglas Hall, was a member of Avondale’s FAI Intermediate Cup winning side.
The 24-year-old told CorkCityFC.net: “I have been out training with the squad over the last couple of weeks. It has been a step up, but I have really enjoyed it. I am delighted to have signed for Cork City and I am looking forward to trying to work my way into the team.”
Commenting on the signing, City manager Tommy Dunne said: “Graham had a great season with Avondale and was recommended to me as one of the best players in the Munster Senior League. He came in and trained with us; he enjoyed it and he did well. We are pleased to have signed him and hope that he can progress over the coming months.
“We are looking at a number of players who we feel can improve the squad, and we are likely to add another one or two players when the transfer window opens.”
Meanwhile, Cork's Airtricity Premier Division clash against Bohemians scheduled for July 6 has been moved to Sunday July 8 in order to accommodate Bohs' involvement in the Europa League qualifiers on July 5.
