The vast majority of Irish football fans would welcome Roy Keane back as manager of Ireland according to the results of a poll conducted by Goal.com.
Following Keane's criticisms of the Boys in Green at Euro 2012 we asked readers if they would accept the Corkman becoming international manager. A whopping 68.63% of you voted yes to the prospect with 31.37% opposed to the former skipper taking over the reins of his country in the future.
Keane said back in 2002 that he would like to manage Ireland and his former team-mate Niall Quinn suggested this week that he could be the man to revolutionise the FAI. It appears that Irish football fans are in favour of Keane with almost three quarters of the votes supporting him as a future Ireland boss in our poll.
The former Manchester United captain is currently working as a pundit after being sacked from his most recent managerial post with Ipswich Town last year.
