Bolton to sign Ireland midfielder Keith Andrews - report
Former West Brom midfielder looks likely to reject a move to Celtic in favour of a move to the Trotters in the Championship
Keith Andrews is set to sign for Bolton Wanderers after it emerged that the 31-year-old rejected a move to SPL club, Celtic. The Dubliner became a free agent when his West Brom contract was not renewed at the end of last season and had been a target for Celtic prior to Ireland's Euro 2012 participation, while newly-promoted Huddersfield had also reportedly made the midfielder an attractive offer.
However, the Irish Independent reports that the former Blackburn Rovers player will join recently-relegated Bolton, who have also made an offer his services, on the basis that the club is based in the north-west of England, where Andrews and his family currently reside.
Keith Andrews began his career with Wolves before stints at Hull City, MK Dons, Blackburn Rovers, Ipswich Town and West Brom.
