Fresh injury concerns for Giovanni Trapattoni ahead of game against Spain as Aston Villa defender misses training due to tiredness and blister complaints

There are fresh injury concerns for Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni ahead of his team's Group C encounter with Spain on Thursday June 14 as defender Richard Dunne failed to take part in training on Monday afternoon.

The Aston Villa defender appeared to be carrying an injury at the end of the 3-1 defeat to Croatia in Poznan as he limped off the pitch and Trapattoni confirmed that the centre back was suffering with blisters and tiredness.

Other players also sat out portions of the training session, including central midfielder Darron Gibson and goalkeeper Shay Given.

"Darron Gibson in shooting, had a little bit of a problem," said Trapattoni. "But he's okay, it's no problem. We have no injuries."

However, while Given did not take part in the training game, the Italian coach confirmed that the Donegal-born shot-stopper was not injured.

Ireland are bottom of Group C, behind Croaita, Italy and Spain.
