The former Ireland international was victorious in the Scottish Cup final over the weekend but may have played his last game for the Edinburgh club
The 28-year-old played in Saturday's Scottish Cup final victory over city rivals Hibernian but the Jambos have not yet triggered a one-year extension to his current deal.
The former Ireland international admits he is, as yet, unaware of any developments on his future.
He told the Sun “I don’t know what’s happening. I’m going to enjoy the next couple of days. I’ll speak with the club and my representatives.
“A few players have been told they can go and the club is trying to cut back.
“With this game in the background, it’s the only thing you can think about. I’ll enjoy the next couple of days and weigh up what options I have.
“If it is to be my last game, what a way and what a game to finish.”
Elliot was also linked with a move to MLS but claims he is not ready to cross the Atlantic at this stage.
“There was a bit of talk," he said. "Maybe later in my career, I don’t really fancy going there yet.”
