Robbie Keane: Ireland always play better against so-called bigger nations

Irish skipper said that despite being in a tough group the Boys in Green fancy their chances of taking on the best of Europe this summer

Robbie Keane has spelled out a warning to Ireland's Group rivals: Don't underestimate us.

The Ireland skipper was speaking to reporters in the US after training with LA Galaxy and said that Ireland should not fear coming up against Spain and Italy at Euro 2012.

"We've certainly got a good chance, no question about it," said Keane.

"We've probably got one of the toughest groups in the Euros. Listen, we're always better when we play against teams that are so-called better than us or bigger nations than us."

The Boys in Green have been drawn in Group C with reigning champions Spain, former World Cup winners Italy and Croatia.
