Allardyce eyes Spurs scalp
The Hammers have lost just three Premier League games at Upton Park this season and the former Bolton manager believes they can keep their run going on Monday evening
West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has backed his side to continue their fine home form this season against Tottenham on Monday. The Hammers have lost just three games at Upton Park this season and Allardyce believes this gives his side plenty of confidence going into the game against their London rivals.
Gareth Bale will be seen as the main threat to the east London side, but the 58-year-old hinted that he has a plan in place to handle the prolific Wales international.
"We know like other teams, you have to be on your toes with a player like Gareth, he is one of the best players in the Premier League at the moment," Allardyce told Sky Sports News.
"But as a team we will go into this game with confidence, we know what we can do at home and will be giving it a right go, to get those three points.
"Our home form has been excellent all season and so we're going to hopefully make sure Tottenham worry about us for a long period of time on Monday night, rather than us worry about them too much."
