thumbnail Hello,

The Mexican striker says he is happy to be back having missed most of the previous two pre-season campaigns, and has vowed to repay the faith shown in him

Manchester United striker Chicharito has revealed his eagerness to get back onto the training ground ahead of the new Premier League season.

The Mexican has missed the Red Devils' last two pre-season tours due to the lateness of his arrival at the club during his first summer and then a concussion suffered whilst in America ahead of the last campaign.

The 24-year-old is now looking forward to getting back to work following the summer break and hopes to continue improving next season.

"I really enjoyed my summer break in Mexico with all my family and all my friends...but I have to say I was missing not being here at Carrington," Chicharito told MUTV.

"I'm very happy to be back and to see my team-mates and start pre-season.

"This will be my first complete pre-season because during the last two summers I met up with the team in America during the tour.

"It will be important and I just want to enjoy it and do my best. I know I need to keep learning - you never stop learning - and I want to continue to improve and work hard in order to repay the people that put their trust in me.

"I know I need to be professional on and off the pitch and I want to make sure I'm ready for the new season."
