Everton reveal new away kit for 2012-13 season

The Toffees have officially released the first pictures of their new second strip for the upcoming Premier League campaign, which is noticeably different to previous efforts
Everton have officially revealed their new black away kit for the 2012-13 Premier League campaign.

The Blues will launch the strip on June 23 at the club's official 'Everton Two' store in Liverpool city centre, but the first official pictures of the kit - designed by sportswear giant Nike - were released today.

A select audience of fans who attended every one of Everton's home and away games were able to get a first hand look at the new shirt, which features striking yellow detail on the club crest and sponsor patches.

The move to an all black kit is a distinct change in direction from previous Blues' away strips, which have been both bright pink and gold in recent seasons.

An official statement read: "The shirt features a classic collar and is made from Nike Dri-Fit fabric which is lightweight and manages perspiration, keeping players dry and comfortable for 90 minutes and beyond.

"The shirt is also part of Nike’s Considered Design programme aimed at reducing environmental impact, and consists of 100% recycled material."
