Podolski: I can be Arsenal's utility man

New Gunners signing says that he will add versatility to the club's attacking line by being able to play as a striker and wide on the left, as well as a playmaker
Arsenal-bound forward Lukas Podolski believes that he can cover a variety of different positions for Arsene Wenger when he links up with the Gunners following his £10.9 million move from Koln.The Germany international has proved versatile over the years, playing wide on the left for his national team while acting as a playmaker and as a forward in the four years he spent at Koln, and he expects this to be an asset at the Emirates Stadium.
"In Cologne, I played as a centre forward and also as a playmaker," Podolski told the Daily Mirror.
"In the national team I play wide on the left. I honestly don't mind where I play, as long as it's in a forward position.
"But it's always the coach who decides where you play and I will do my best wherever I play."

He added: "I had a very good season with Koln, I played well and as a result I'm now going to Euro 2012 in the summer with lots of confidence.
"After that, I will be joining up with my new team mates at Arsenal and it is my goal just to do my best and be successful there."
