Coquelin: Arsenal players disappointed after Norwich City draw

Gunners midfielder admits that his side have to win final-day fixture against West Brom to secure Champions League football next season and is still annoyed over Saturday's result

Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin has admitted that he and his team-mates were disappointed after their 3-3 draw with Norwich City on Saturday, having taken the lead late in the game.

Robin van Persie scored a double which looked to have given the Gunners the win but Steve Morison’s 85th-minute goal gave the Canaries a share of the points.

Coquelin conceded that the draw was a huge blow to his side's Champions League hopes, and now feels that they have no choice but to go to West Brom on the final day of the season and get a victory no matter what.

"When you come back to 3-2 at home you expect to hold the result, and it didn't happen so obviously the whole team is really disappointed," he told the club’s official website.

"We played better in the second half and scored two goals, but fair play to Norwich, they didn't give up and got the equaliser. We're battling for third, but this was a massive blow.

"It is not down to us now, we just need to focus on West Brom and try to claim the three points.

"We will give 100 per cent until the end of the season. We have one last game and we need to win."
