Sir Alex Ferguson, Phelan and Moyes at Crewe to watch Powell - report

Premier League managers go to Gresty Road to run the rule over the League Two teenager who has attracted plenty of interest in his short time in professional football
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and his assistant Mike Phelan as well as Everton boss David Moyes were in attendance to watch Crewe Alexandra teenager Nick Powell play against Aldershot Town on Saturday, according to BBC Radio Stoke.

The 18-year-old has been attracting rave reviews for his displays in League Two, and seems to have caught the eye of the Premier League champions, among a host of others.

Powell has made over 50 appearances for Crewe in his short career, and has represented England at Under-16, U17 and U18 level.

The teenager's performances earlier this campaign saw him win December's Football League Young Player of the Month award, and he is Crewe's top scorer this season with 15 goals.
